Lieke obtained her BSc in Chemistry (2019) and MSc in Molecular Chemistry (2023)  from Radboud University (Nijmegen, The Netherlands). She completed both her Bachelor and Master thesis in the group of Roeland Nolte, focusing on the synthesis, allosteric binding properties and catalytic activity of a double porphyrin cage. During her Masters, she also worked parttime as a teaching assistant for tutorials and lab courses on organic and inorganic chemistry.

Since July 2023, she is working in the teaching team of the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry at Wageningen University, where she is mainly involved in the tutorials, practicals and lectures of the first-year BSc courses. In January 2026, she will combine teaching with a parttime PhD under the supervision of Eva.
